I guess I can’t really call it new, because right now I don’t have any logo. But you may have noticed my favicon change to a preview of the new look. Soon you’ll notice the header of Egonitron.com change to a new, much better design.
Here is a preview of the new logo, which will be the basis of the new header design:

The logo was a gift from Logo Design Works, who is giving out a limited number of free logos to top bloggers. The free Bronze package is given away if you promise to write about Logo Design Works in a post or add their link to your blogroll. I’ve done both, as they were great to work with.
The first stage they work off of what you’ve given them for a description of what you want in the application (apply here,) and they revise from there and give multiple examples based off of your suggestions.
I really like the results they provided, and I’m probably going to use them for future projects as well. The Bronze package costs $197 and includes 3 samples and 3 revisions, which should be fine in most cases.

hey egon, i like the new logo image. it’s very clean, and it does look like it was professionally done. i think it’ll make your header stand out much more too.

Very nice. I was thinking about paying someone for a header graphic, and I just ended up redesigning the whole site instead.
mlankton, that works too! Although it’s always a good idea to get a logo if you’re serious about branding.
