Wickedfire Becoming a Paid Forum

wickedfireGaaahhhh! Yet another great forum requiring me to shell out actual money. If I wasn’t addicted to them, I might say no, but rumor is it’s only $25/month for the Premium level.

All-in-all, it might be a good thing. This would allow the people who are serious about marketing to come to one place and find quality posts, and not have to sift through all the bullshit that people come and post. I’m no Guru there (in fact I think I only have a few posts) but I read a LOT on Wickedfire, and have been around for a few months. Make sure to check out Wickedfire if you haven’t already, you’ll be reading it for days if you’re into this sort of thing.

I checked their forum and look very popular based on Alexa. You have to pay to post and participate?

    Hi Warriorblog,

Sort of. Currently, it’s all free, so look around now to see if you like it.

There is going to be a free section, but to upgrade to Premium will be the ~$20/month. This will grant access to the Premium section, give no SE access, sig links, free passes to conferences, as well as some other perks. There may also be a much higher-end section for something like $50/month. I don’t think I’ll go that far.

You’re right Ian. As a noob, you have to be careful, otherwise you’ll get flamed really bad, haha. That’s another reason why they want to make it paid, so you don’t get as many “stupid questions” in the premium section.
