Shai Avidan and Ariel Shamir have created an awesome new technique for resizing and cropping images that could be a life-saver for graphics and image editors around the globe. The technique basically crops by removing (or adding) “negative” space, leaving the subjects intact. Anybody who’s done this using Photoshop knows certain images can be a real pain in the ass for doing this. Enough talking, check out the video:

That didn’t last very long! Any mirrors of the video anywhere?
That’s weird, the video still works fine for me, is anybody else having this issue?
It’s working now. Must have been a temporary glitch.
Sorry for the multiple comments!
That graphics technique is amazing! Even just the removing of people on beach technique could save heaps of Photoshop time. I wonder if this technology will make it as a plugin?
I like the first time commentator email and the way the page scrolls back up after submitting a comment. Could do with the ability to edit comments though
Thanks for the kind words Will
I was thinking about getting an “edit comment” feature soon but honestly it’s not at the top of my priority list.
I agree that this cropping technique is amazing, assuming it’s at least somewhat easy to use.
