Ultra-runner Tim Borland is running 63 marathons in 63 days in order to raise funds and awareness for the A-T Children’s Project in their quest for a cure or life-improving therapies for ataxia-telangiectasia (A-T). A-T is a rare, neurodegenerative disease that affects children, giving them the combined symptoms of cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, and cancer. Children with A-T — born seemingly healthy — are usually dependent upon wheelchairs by the age of 10 and often do not survive their teens.

If you hold a blog contest to get link-backs that’s fine. But don’t be a dick about it and back out on the prize once someone wins.

Although the Microsoft Zune being given away here is new, it was won by John Chow at the 2007 Affiliate Networking dinner, then given to Michael Kwan to review for TheTechZone, then given back to John Chow. John decided he didn’t want the Zune, so he raffled it away in his own contest.

Ms. Danielle (whose new blog site has a great tip for Busy Bloggers,) won the Zune and is now holding a contest of her own for Microsofts latest media player.
